“Champions!” is one of my most personal works to date, inspired by photographs I captured during the 2025 British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Hidden within the composition is a small silhouette of my father and me, inspired by our visit to the British Grand Prix in 2021,
a subtle tribute to the memories and passion for motorsport that inspired this piece.
The artwork imagines an all British podium for the 2026 British Grand Prix, celebrating three of my favourite drivers: Lewis Hamilton, Lando Norris, and George Russell. The title is reflected throughout the composition, where jubilant fans, celebrations, champagne & trophies waiting on the podium, and festivities in the surrounding Silverstone hotels create an atmosphere of triumph and anticipation.
Look closely and you’ll discover famous victory poses from each driver, George Russell emerging beneath an almost theatrical spotlight, and Lewis Hamilton proudly waving the Union Jack in celebration of his many memorable Silverstone victories.
Blending real memories with hopeful imagination, Champions! is both a celebration of British motorsport and a tribute to the enduring magic of Formula One.
